Add and edit tables
Create rectangular and round tables, set their size and seat spacing, and read the live capacity readout so you know exactly how many guests each table holds.
Tables are the core building block of your layout. Add one, size it to match your real furniture, and place seats around it exactly the way your guests will sit.
Add a table
- Click Table in the toolbar at the bottom of the canvas.
- In the Add a new table dialog, choose a shape: Rectangular or Round.
- Type a Name for the table (for example "Table 1" or "Head Table").
- Click Create Table.
Your new table lands in the middle of the canvas, already selected, so you can drag it into place right away.
Set the size
Open a table's settings by double-clicking it (or selecting it and opening its edit panel). Under Size & capacity you will find:
- A cm / ft toggle at the top so you can work in whichever unit you plan the room in.
- Width and Height fields for a rectangular table, or a single Diameter field for a round one.
- A Fits N seats readout that updates as you type, so you always know the table's comfortable capacity before you start seating guests.
Adjust seat spacing
The Space between seats slider controls how tight or loose your seats sit along each edge. Pull it tighter to fit more seats in the same table, or loosen it if your seats are wide chairs or you want more elbow room. The Fits N seats number updates immediately as you move the slider.
Turn on Auto-adjust size if you want the table to grow or shrink on its own to match the seats you already have when you change the spacing or add seats. With it off, you control the table's size yourself and just get a warning if seats no longer fit comfortably.
Rename a table
Double-click the table's name directly on the canvas to edit it in place, or change it from the table's edit panel under General info.
Add seats to a table's sides
- Select the table so its outline highlights.
- Small plus buttons appear on each side of a rectangular table (top, bottom, left, right), or around the ring of a round table.
- Click a plus button to add an empty seat to that side.
Each side has its own capacity based on the table's dimensions and spacing, so you cannot overcrowd one edge while the others sit empty. Once a seat exists, assign a guest to it from the seats panel or by dragging a guest onto the seat.
