Why this layout

Desk pods, not banquet tables — an office plan is a different problem from an event plan, and laying it out with round tables makes it useless. Four to a pod is the size where a team can talk across it without turning the pod into a meeting room. The pods sit away from the walls rather than against them, because the walls are where the storage, printers and windows go, and a plan drawn tight to them is one you redraw the first time someone points that out.

How to use it

  1. Open the template — five pods of four, entrance marked.
  2. Type in who sits where, or import your team list.
  3. Move pods to match your floor, then export to PDF. Free exports carry a small watermark.
