Accept a collaborator invitation
Someone invited you to a seating chart. Here's how to open the invitation, see what role you've been given, and accept it.
When someone invites you to collaborate on their chart, you'll get an email with a link. You can accept it right away, or find it later in your account if you're not ready yet.
Accept from the email
- Open the invitation email and select the link inside it.
- If you're not signed in, sign in or create an account using the email address the invitation was sent to.
- Review the chart name, who invited you, and the role you've been given.
- Select Accept Invitation.
You're taken straight to the chart, and it now shows up in your seating charts list.
Accept from your account
If you set the email aside, you can still find the invitation later.
- Go to Account.
- Select Invitations in the account navigation. A badge shows up here when you have one or more invitations waiting.
- Find the chart you want to join and select Accept.
If something goes wrong
Invitation links expire after a while, so an old one may no longer work. If that happens, ask the chart owner to send a fresh invitation.
An invitation is also tied to the exact email address it was sent to. If you're signed in with a different account, sign out and sign back in with the right one before accepting.
Where to go next
- Roles and permissions to understand what you can do once you've joined.
- The editing lock and taking control since only one person can edit the chart at a time.
- Invite collaborators if you'll be inviting others yourself once you have access.
