Check guests in with the scanner

Use the door scanner to check guests in from their digital ticket, watch entry stats update live, and reset a check-in if you scan the wrong ticket.

The door scanner turns any phone or tablet into your check-in point. Point the camera at a guest's QR code, and the scanner confirms their ticket, checks them in, and updates your entry count for everyone watching.

The scanner: open your camera and check guests in as they arrive.

Open the scanner

  1. Open your chart and go to the entry section.
  2. Select Scan tickets to start live entry mode.
  3. Allow camera access if your browser asks.

Keep the scanner open on the device you are using at the door for the whole event. You can open it on more than one device at once if you have several entry points.

Scan a ticket

  1. Point the camera at the guest's QR code, on their phone screen or a printout.
  2. The scanner recognizes the code and shows the guest's name.
  3. It marks them as entered right away.

If the code is not readable, hold the device steadier or ask the guest to increase their screen brightness. A ticket that has already been used shows a clear "already checked in" message instead of checking the guest in again.

Watch entry stats update live

While you scan, the entry count and scan history update in real time, so anyone looking at the chart, not just the person holding the scanner, sees the latest numbers. This is useful if you have someone monitoring turnout from a laptop while another person scans at the door.

The scan history lists each check-in with the guest's name and when they arrived, so you can look back over the evening if you need to confirm when someone came in.

Reset a check-in

If you scan the wrong ticket, or a guest needs to leave and come back in a way your event allows, you can reset their check-in.

  1. Find the guest in the scan history or guest list.
  2. Select Reset check-in.
  3. Their ticket becomes valid to scan again.
