Seat and RSVP statuses explained
What the confirmed, pending, and declined badges mean on a seat, plus the extra unclaimed, claimed, and entered statuses for events using QR tickets.
Every seat carries a small status icon so you can tell where things stand without opening the guest's details. What you see depends on how your chart collects RSVPs.
RSVP status
Every chart shows one of these on each seat:
- Confirmed: the guest has said they're coming, either by responding themselves or because you marked it.
- Pending: no response yet. This is the default for a new guest.
- Declined: the guest has said they're not attending.
You can set any of these yourself from the guest's form, whether or not you're collecting RSVPs online. This is how you'd track responses that came in by phone or in person.
QR ticket status
If your chart uses QR tickets and door check-in, seats show a second status alongside the RSVP one:
- Unclaimed: the guest hasn't opened their claim link yet, so no ticket has been issued.
- Ticket Claimed: the guest claimed their seat and received their digital ticket, but hasn't been scanned in at the door yet.
- Checked In: the guest's ticket was scanned at the door.
These three only track entry, not attendance intent. A guest can be Confirmed on the RSVP side and still show Unclaimed if they haven't opened their ticket link yet.
Where you'll see these
The seats sidebar and the canvas both show these badges on each seat, and hovering over one tells you exactly which status it is. Your chart's guest list gives you the same information alongside each guest's full details, and you can filter the list by status to see, for example, everyone who's still pending.
Where to go next
- Assign guests to seats to see these statuses while you seat guests.
- Choosing an RSVP mode to see which statuses your chart will use.
- Choose which guest fields to collect to see where the Status field fits into the guest form.
