I can't send email invitations

Email invitations need RSVP turned on, a paid plan, and guests already on your chart. Here's how to check each one and what the limit messages mean.

If the email invitations option is missing or won't send, it usually comes down to one of three things: your chart's RSVP mode, your plan, or who you're trying to email.

Check your RSVP mode

Email invitations only work when your chart collects RSVPs itself. If your chart is set to manual mode, where you track attendance yourself, email sending stays off.

  1. Open your chart's RSVP settings and go to the RSVP Configuration tab.
  2. Under RSVP Type, choose Public RSVP or Digital Ticket & QR Entry instead of Manual Management Only.

Once your chart is in one of those modes, the email invitations option becomes available.

Check your plan

Email invitations are a paid feature. If you don't see the option at all, your current plan may not include it. Check the pricing page to see which plan unlocks it.

Check who you're sending to

You can only send invitations to guests already on your chart's guest list. There's no way to email an address that isn't attached to a seat, so if someone is missing from your invitation, add them as a guest first.

Within a group send, only guests with an email address saved on their seat actually receive a message. If someone in the group has no address on file, add one on the canvas, during import, or from the guest list.

Understand a sending limit message

Your plan also sets how many invitation emails you can send in a given period. If you hit that limit, SeatPlanning tells you so instead of silently failing. Wait for your next period, or check the pricing page if you need more room regularly.
